Our team is made up of passionate individuals who care deeply about creating safe spaces, meaningful connections and genuine community . Every person here gives their time because they believe in the power of support, friendship and showing up for others.
Krissie
Director/Founder
Community & Event Lead, Safeguarding Deputy
Krissie is a solo parent to Luca & Bodhi and knows first hand how isolationg and overwhelming single parenting can feel. After experiencing mental health struggles and domestic abuse she reached a point where she realised just how many parents feel alone in this journey and has found a passion for making it less lonely for others. Krissie pours her heart into every single detail behind SPFC. For her SPFC isn't something she just runs it is something she lives by... for her, for her children and for every 'single parent' needing a village.
Adam
Deputy Director
Community Support Lead
Adam is dad to his amazing daughter Scarlett who keeps him (and everyone she meets) on their toes. They recently attended the aquarium sleepover and had an incredible time. Adam says that he doesn't know what he'd do without the people in this community and is passionate about giving back, helping others and showing that no matter how alone someone may feel there is always someone here to listen and support.
Sarah
SEN Lead
Community Administrator
Sarah is a mum to two boys Toby and Riley and also a dog mummy to a gorgeous puppy. She is a dedicated SEN mum and her knowledge in this subject makes her a huge support to others. Sarah is a total home bargain addict so if you see any good offers on make sure to send them her way! She has recently found a new sense of freedom after passing her driving test so no doubt she will be popping up at more events! She is always open to supporting others within the community.
Danielle

Danielle is mum to Rosalie and our first little SPFC baby Henry! She understands first hand what it is like to be a single parents and now through SPFC she has met her now partner. As a widow Danielle is always there to offer understanding and support to others who may be going through similar experiences. She is bubbly, friendly and truly passionate about SPFC and everything the community has to offer.
Bev
Treasurer & Finance Lead
Community Moderator
Bev is a solo mum to three which keeps her very busy! Having been affected by domestic abuse she is keen to use that experience to help others. She works in charity finance which she loves making her the perfect fit to volunteer her skills as SPFC treasurer. When she managed to find a bit of spare time Bev loves reading and can be found reading a book on the cross trainer!
Ed
Community & Event Deputy
Community Moderator
Ed is a non-resident parent to two children aged 13 and 6. He understands the complexities of co-parenting. He is passionate about making sure everyone feels welcome. He loves bringing people together, building friendships and having fun. Outside of SPFC Ed plays the trumpet and can often be found up a mountain or kayaking down a river.
Kelly

Kelly is a mum of four children with additional needs and has a Level 2 qualification in Children and Young People's Mental Health. As a parent who understands the challenges of raising children with additional needs. She brings valuable experience and understanding to the community. A proud Northerer who loves hunting down a bargain. Kelly also has a passion for football and enjoys a good laugh.
Karen
Community Support
Karen is a solo parent to an older teenage son. She loves attending SPFC events and has met lots of lovely people and built new friendships through the community. In her spare time Karen enjoys walking and hiking as well as organising the occasional event herself. She loves meeting new faces and catching up with familliar ones along the way.
Gordon
Community Support
Gordon is a single dad to two children. He is a Scout leader and a passionate advocate for equality and diversity. He is friendly, approachable and always up for a good laugh. SPFC means a lot to Gordon and he's often singing its praises making him a walking, talking advert for the community. In his spare time he enjoys camping and getting outdoors whenever he gets the chance.
Nick
Community Support
Nick is a single dad of two children residing in Gloucester. He loves to work hard and play hard. He is big into fitness, rugby union, a good night out and making memories. He is an ex Royal Air Force Officer and now works as a security consultant. He is very open about his mental health battles and founded a mental health support group in 2019 which is his biggest achievement aside from his kids.
